As the Sun transits Gate 55, we encounter the Gate of Spirit, an emotional energy responsible for some of the most extreme emotional polarities. This energy resides in the solar plexus, pulling us through waves of happiness, gratitude, and inspiration, only to shift suddenly into emptiness or melancholy. If you’ve ever felt an emotional outburst or inner turmoil that seemed to vanish as quickly as it came, this energy might feel familiar.

The key is to trust your feelings and allow yourself to embrace both the highs and the lows. Melancholy isn’t your enemy—often, it’s where profound creativity is born.

As someone with a completely Open Solar Plexus, I am frankly not enjoying this non-stop rollercoaster of feelings, but just the fact that I understand that the transit conditions me helps simply wait before acting – and  trust me, there are some serious themes playing up in my life that in the past would end up in a break up (professionally speaking)

Earth in Gate 59 — The Gate of Sexuality

Energy from Gate 59 can make you feel drawn toward relationships, but it’s crucial to enter them from a place of alignment with your strategy and authority.

Personal connections formed during this transit are powerful. I actually met my husband Jim during this transit in 2024. But be mindful that emotional highs could fade when the transit moves on. Unlike fleeting attraction, if your connection aligns with your inner Authority, it might blossom into something enduring.

In my relationships, we entered it correctly for each of us (we are both Splenic Projectors), and we knew to question our excitement until the transit passed. Of course, it was a story with a happy ending for us, but it was not guaranteed. Should we have entered this relationships incorrectly, it could have ended just as suddenly as it started that same week! 

Beyond romance, Gate 59’s energy creates profound emotional shifts. Relationships, whether personal or professional, might feel unusually intense. It’s also a time for honesty—hidden insecurities can come to light but can be resolved through deep and open communication. Experience these powerful vibes fully, but move slowly and mindfully when making decisions.

Harmonic Gate 39 Activates the Channel of Emoting (39/55)

When Gate 39—the Gate of Provocation—pairs with Gate 55, it activates the Channel of Emoting, heightening emotional intensity. If you carry Gate 39, you might find yourself unintentionally provoking emotions with what you say or do. Even an innocent comment can spark big emotional reactions—for yourself or others.

This can feel overwhelming but also transformative. Emotional provocation shows us where certain feelings are still unresolved. A heated moment can flip to laughter when the timing and connection are right. Because emotional energy is raw and unpredictable, respond carefully: give yourself time before reacting or making decisions. The same emotional swell that brings challenges can be channelled into breakthroughs in creativity or connection.

One personal example: During a past emotional transit, I momentarily felt triggered by a seemingly critical post on social media. It turned out the post wasn’t directed at me, but the intensity of my reaction sparked self-reflection. By letting the wave pass, I found clarity and even deepened my understanding of what was shared.
