Transits & Tactics: Human Design Gate 4
August 11th to August 17th 2024
Solar Transit in Gate 4 – The Gate of Youthful Folly (Formulization)
When the Sun is in Gate 4, you might find yourself thinking more logically and trying to figure out plans for the future. This is a time for formulating mental plans and theorizing about where you want to go in life – and how you’ll get there! But remember, just because something seems logical, it doesn’t mean it’s the right answer for you or that you’ll have the energy to make it happen.
With Gate 4 at play, your mind must be active, and you must have something to resolve; it is like you are handed some form of drama, a problem, or even a simple crossword, and off you dive deep into solving it. If your mind is not focused on such a process, you can become anxious.
Use this time to explore ideas, but don’t take them too seriously. Question the matters your mind gets busy with, and ask what solutions do you REALLY need. You might find clarity, but keep in mind that the answers you come up with might not always be the right solutions. You’ve only been thinking – making plans isn’t the same as taking action and changing your life. To make actual change, you’ll need both energy and opportunity.
If you have an Open Ajna (which half the population does), don’t be tricked into thinking you have all the solutions or a perfect way forward. Just observe your thoughts. Sometimes, looking for answers has brought anxiety in the past, so don’t act impulsively on your thoughts.
You may also find yourself analyzing your relationships and how they might change in your life. There is an interesting contemplation about Gate 4 (4th Gene Key) by Richard Rudd, who talks about questioning and reasoning love and just experiencing it. He says, “We are not going to understand anything until we understand love. When we truly open our heart, our minds see so much further than when our heart’s closed.” He talks about dropping the need to find a reason, which is a real shadow of gate 4. So expect trying to reason everything including love… However, be careful not to jump to conclusions about these thoughts.
At the end of the day this is why this gate is called Youthful Folly – a sign of inexperience and immaturity in thinking and judgment.
Earth in Gate 49 – The Gate Of Principles
This is particularly important because Gate 4 is grounded in Gate 49, which deals with emotional and social principles. If you feel an emotional upset, it’s better to sit with that feeling rather than act on it immediately. If you take the time to process these feelings, you might come up with a logical way to address any injustices or neglect.
I also want to mention another of Rudd’s remarks from the contemplation since 49 is a programming partner to Gate 4, and it is a very reactive gate, provoking extreme emotions… When it comes to love, the closer we are to the person, the easier it is to react negatively. I can’t agree more, as one of my life lessons, and probably the influence of my 63-4 channel, is not to overanalyze and react to every tiny annoyance and practice observing, letting go and accepting what is without question.
Letting go of the situation, accepting the unknown as a natural part of life, and rejecting the division into good and bad is helpful during this time. On the other hand, intolerance, obsessive search for answers, blaming others, apathy, and emotional immaturity can hinder your progress.
For those with Gate 63 in their design, beware of jumping to conclusions during this time. Answers may seem to appear, bringing a sense of relief, but they might not be reliable. Hold on to these answers lightly and see if they hold true in real life. Trust your own way of making decisions about when and how to act, whether it aligns with the perceived answer or not.
Business & Marketing
When you’re under the influence of gate 4, the “Gate of Useful Folly”, your mind can go into overdrive trying to find solutions for everything. This can lead you to constantly seek out new ideas and try to fix problems, even if they aren’t really relevant to your business. It’s easy to get caught up in this mental frenzy, jumping from one solution to the next without much focus.
To avoid getting sidetracked, try to be mindful of this tendency. Instead of diving into solving every little issue that comes up, redirect your mental energy towards more productive tasks. Focus on studying a new skill, planning your next steps, or working on your own personal development. And remember to stay connected to your own decision-making process, rather than getting attached to specific solutions. This will help you discern which ideas are truly valuable for your business, instead of just adding to the noise in your mind.
During this transit, you may want to consider pondering the following contemplative questions:
- What plans or goals am I currently formulating for my future, and how do they align with my true desires and values?
- Am I focusing on things and matters that are truly relevant?
- How can I let go of trying to solve and reason everything and just experience love – in all its forms?
“My Marketing Blueprint By Design confirmed EVERYTHING about the direction I’m headed with my business. I’ve been holding myself back because I wasn’t “sure” but it’s literally written in my Human Design chart and the way Juliette explained it, made so much sense and gave me actions to start taking immediately.
I feel much more confident – I highly recommend the Zoom session with Juliette!)“
