Solar Transit in Gate 38 – The Gate of The Fighter

Opposition. The art of saying NO.

As we transition into the new year, I can’t help but feel the intensity of the astrological energies at play. The sun is currently moving through the gate of the Fighter, gate 39, which is sitting right in my root center. This is stirring up a lot of internal pressure and combative energy within me.

I can feel this strong urge to take action, to fight for change, even if I don’t fully feel ready or aligned to do so. It’s like there’s this restless, aggressive energy bubbling up, demanding that I oppose something or someone. At times, it almost feels like an internal battle or struggle is raging.

Earth in Gate 38: The Provocateur

Alongside the sun’s movement, I also have the earth transiting through gate 38, the gate of the Provocateur. This is adding an even more intense, challenging energy to the mix. I’ve definitely been feeling the effects – moments of exhaustion, overwhelm, and even the temptation to just throw in the towel entirely.

But as I reflect on these transits, I’m reminded that this “provocation” energy doesn’t have to be a negative thing. In fact, it can be an opportunity to courageously face my fears and limitations, and break through to a new level of self-expression and vitality. The key is to be discerning about where I direct that provocative energy.

The Channel of Judgement

And this is where the influence of the harmonic gate 18 comes into play, creating the Channel of Judgement. I can feel myself becoming extra critical or discerning, but in a positive way – this is helping me get clear on what is truly aligned for me.

The danger is getting stuck in perfectionism or harshly judging myself. But I know I need to use this energy to my advantage, to hone in on what needs to change or be released to make space for my authentic self-expression. With awareness, I can wield this Channel of Judgement as a tool for growth, not self-sabotage.

At the end of the year, reflecting here I’m finding these transits to be incredibly potent, but also potentially transformative. The fighter, provocateur, and judgement energies are stirring up a lot within me, challenging me to face my fears and limitations head-on. But with the right mindset – one of discernment, courage, and self-compassion – I believe I can harness this intensity to catalyze positive change in the new year.
