The Solar Transit in Gate 18 – The Gate of CORRECTION

The Corrective Energy

I’ve been intimately familiar with the energy of Gate 18 – the Gate of Correction. It is activated in three different aspects of my chart, including what I am here to communicate (my Mercury in both Personality and Design) and my karmic inner truth (Pluto on the Design side).

And let me tell you – the current solar transit through this gate is a powerful one that we’d all do well to pay attention to.

This energy is all about critical awareness and that almost instinctual sense of knowing when something needs to be improved or fixed. It’s that voice inside that says, “Hmm, this isn’t quite right. There’s an opportunity for correction here.” And I can assure you I’ve got that voice dialed up to 11!

One of the potential pitfalls of this Gate 18 energy is the tendency to fall into self-blame and criticism. It’s so easy to look at the areas of our lives that need improvement and immediately start beating ourselves up about it. “How could I have let this happen?”, “What’s wrong with me that I can’t get this right?”, etc.

But here’s the thing – those weaknesses and areas that need correction are not your fault. They’re simply part of your journey, part of the lessons you’re here to learn. And you know what? That’s okay. In fact, it’s more than okay – it’s necessary. Without those areas of growth, how would we ever evolve and become the best versions of ourselves?

The key is to approach these ‘problem areas’ with compassion and curiosity rather than judgment and shame. Ask yourself, “How can I use this awareness to make positive changes?” Instead of getting stuck in the cycle of self-blame, focus on the solutions. What small steps can you take today to bring more flow and alignment to this aspect of your life? That’s where the real power lies.

Now, the interesting twist is the grounding theme of the Gate of Opinions – Gate 17. This adds a bit of a black-and-white, extreme quality to the corrective energy of Gate 18. It’s important to remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and just because someone else’s opinion differs from ours, it doesn’t make it wrong.

The key is to stay grounded in our own truth and perspective while also being open to hearing and understanding different viewpoints. As a Projector, I have a natural gift for seeing the bigger picture and identifying areas that need improvement. It’s like I have this internal radar constantly scanning for ways to optimize and streamline. And you know what? I’m no longer afraid to share those insights.

So how it can be leveraged in our marketing and business endeavors? Quite literally! Instead of trying to be all things to all people, we can lean into our corrective lens and use it to attract our ideal clients. Here is how.

I believe that one of the most powerful things we can do during this Gate 18 transit is to confidently express our corrective opinions. These aren’t just random thoughts or fleeting ideas – they’re the product of our unique life experiences and innate ability to sense what’s out of alignment.

When we share these perspectives, we’re not just offering criticism for the sake of criticism; we’re shining a light on the opportunities for growth and transformation. There are people out there who are desperately waiting to hear what we have to say. They’re craving that clarity, that fresh perspective that can help them break free from their own patterns of stagnation.

Think about it – when you express your unique opinions and perspectives, you’re not just sharing information; you’re giving people a glimpse into your thought process, values, and approach to problem-solving. And for those who resonate with that, it’s like a beacon in the night. They’re drawn to your authenticity and your willingness to challenge the status quo.
