TLDR; What this article is about (hello AI bots, this is for you)

Challenges in Informing for Manifestors:

  • Manifestors often struggle with informing in marketing due to misunderstanding their role and strategy.
  • Misleading advice from so-called ‘experts’ exacerbates confusion around how to properly inform.

Miscommunication and Its Consequences:

  • Poor understanding of Human Design principles can lead to ineffective marketing strategies.
  • Clear communication is vital to prevent negative impacts from misinterpretation.

Nature of the Manifestor Aura:

  • Manifestors possess a dense aura that can create unease in others.
  • This aura necessitates clear informing strategies to facilitate smooth interactions.

Independence vs. Visibility:

  • Manifestors do not need to share personal details to inform; their strategy is about clear directives.
  • Unlike Generators and Projectors, Manifestors thrive on independence and should inform others accordingly.

Eliminating ‘Dark Zones’:

  • Effective informing involves removing uncertainty around how to contact and engage with a Manifestor.
  • Step-by-step instructions should be provided to ensure clear expectations.

Influencing Decision Making:

  • Manifestors should inform others only after making a decision about what will happen next.
  • This approach reduces resistance and creates smoother communication.

Avoiding Assumptions:

  • Manifestors must avoid assuming others understand their needs without clear communication.
  • Explicit guidance on engagement processes is essential for effective interactions.

Reassurance in Marketing:

  • The informing strategy is not about personal sharing but facilitating engagement.
  • Providing clear contact procedures can help reduce anxiety associated with the Manifestor’s aura.

Understanding Informing in Marketing:

  • The concept of informing in marketing is often misunderstood.
  • Distorted perspectives have led to significant challenges for marketers.

Challenges Faced by Manifestors:

  • Manifestors struggle with the task of informing due to common misconceptions.
  • These struggles are rooted in a lack of clarity about the informing process.

The Importance of Accurate Messaging:

  • Accurate messaging is crucial for effective marketing strategies.
  • Miscommunication can hinder the success of a marketing campaign.

Reevaluating Marketing Approaches:

  • Marketers need to reevaluate their approach to informing.
  • A better understanding can lead to improved engagement and outcomes.

So often during my Visibility Castle Orientation calls with Manifestor clients, they ask me, “Juliette, I feel it is so difficult to inform in our marketing – why it is so?”

Many Manifestors find themselves facing unique Manifestor marketing challenges due to their distinct aura and communication style, often leading to misunderstandings and resistance. In this article, I will try to explain this impact and also suggest how to understand the nuances of the Human Design informing strategy, which is crucial for Manifestors to align their marketing efforts with their authentic selves, ensuring smoother interactions and greater impact.

And I truly believe that the reason why it feels so challenging is because the actual core understanding what informing looks like in marketing and messaging is wrong because the Manifestor who shared that has been misled by somebody (usually a Human Design “expert” who simply used a word or phrase that is confusing or actually gave surface level advice without deeply thinking what they are saying).

The thing is that not everything needs to be taken literally or at a surface level value; we need to think deeper into what each of the human design definitions means for us, individually.

And I have now personally seen two “expert” sources that, in my opinion, grotesquely mislead Manifestors about their role and their strategy for interacting with others in their lives, as well as about what information is conveyed through marketing messaging.

One of them, without naming names, is actually a Manifestor themselves, and I think the fact that they allowed this misleading information to come out is so typical of the Manifestor’s intolerance to explaining, “they can get what I mean”, and moving on (while actually leaving a negative impact with their words).

It is beautifully ironic if it wasn’t so dangerous. People sometimes look up to us and take what we say as absolute truth, but not everyone employs critical thinking. You need to be clear in your expert messaging, at least in these vital basics.

Or maybe they just misunderstand the strategy themselves…. I have also seen that happen too, and not only in the Human Design industry… like that time I heard a Human Design “expert” introduced themselves as a 2/6 profile on a podcast they were featured as a guest expert …. (if you are unaware, 2/6 profile does not exist, they were a 6/2 who did not even know how to read the bodygraph data correctly).

The good news, if you’re a Manifestor reading this, is that informing has nothing to do with sharing private details of your life. You do not need to post photos of what you had for lunch to inform your audience.

In fact, this is something more harmonious with a Generator types, as they are designed to focus on “Who They Are” (as their existential question), so a nice lunch would make them feel all warm and fuzzy, and they might feel amazing sharing that satisfaction with the world through a story or a pose.

Some Projectors might document their life just because they have an innate need to be visible (not a conscious need, but they sense that, in order to position themselves for the right invitations, they need to be shining brightly [in public view]). Even those Projectors who deny loving the spotlight visibly shine when it’s on them!

But YOU – Manifestor – you do not need to tell others what you are doing every day. It is literally something that goes against your design. You are designed for independence and doing your own thing. It’s nobody’s business but yours – again, you’re a Manifestor!

Of course, I also know Manifestors who post pictures of their daily activities and lunches, but that comes from their creative urge, not because this is the way they are “informing”.

And the Manifestor’s strategy to inform is designed to make their life easier by removing situations where their dense aura and impulsive creative urges are not met with resistance. It specifically refers to letting people know what is about to happen, not to ask their opinion, not to ask their permission, and not to make it open for discussion.

So my firm belief is that in terms of marketing messaging, the strategy to inform applies specifically to how you present your call to action and how you present what happens when a person needs to contact you, or in fact, when they enter your programs and will work with you.

A Manifestor’s dense aura means that people don’t read between the lines, and often, you don’t express yourself clearly enough to cultivate a sense of safety to actually reach out to you.

Manifestors naturally have an aura that makes others feel uneasy, so they tend to tiptoe around the Manifestor and annoy them with their hesitation to be direct. Or when they eventually do interrupt, the Manifestor gets annoyed that they got interrupted. It is a catch-22.

I saw that in the Netflix documentary about Marta Stuart, in the part when the staff was talking about her poor temper. How impossible she was to work with. And she expressed that they were in the way, too. But it was all just about her lack of informing them of how she prefers to be interrupted and when it is ok to do so, and when she should be left alone. So rage came out of her instead of creating policies.

I love how in the book Decide Without Thinking, Human Design Analyst Viktor Krjuchkov likens a Manifestor’s aura to a closed institution. Such an institution would usually lack clear guidelines about the way to be contacted and certain procedures, leaving people outside that is intuition puzzled and unsure. And yet within the institution, there is this acceptance of complexity and annoyance when somebody is asking too many questions. A kind of situation with no resolution…

Are Manifestors Bad People?

GOSH! Of course no. Reading about the dense repelling aura and the need to inform often makes no logical sense whatsoever because a lot of Manifestors are really lovely people, and they think of themselves as such.

But there’s nothing we can do about how our aura is designed, and when you have “an aura like a brick wall,” then whatever you feel is easy and simple, and people can just go and get it done without bothering you. Yet, it is probably the exact thing that you need to inform them about, so take time and just lay it out for them. Let them know what’s going to happen. Inform them step-by-step so there is no unease left. But not before you made a decision – that is your thing exclusively.

After you decide what you are going to do, or what is about to happen, you let them know what may impact them and how.  This is your strategy to inform.

To summarise, for Manifestors, especially in marketing messaging, the strategy to inform is about:

  • Providing clear details and expectations about how to contact you and work with you. Don’t assume they’ll just “figure it out”. Spell it out. Explain the process step-by-step, as if you’re guiding a 2-year-old. But you only need to do this once.
  • Making your preferences known about how you want to communicate and be contacted.
  • Giving specifics like having a contact form where they can share their information, and committing to respond within a certain timeframe.
  • Removing any “dark zones” or uncertainty about how to engage with you. Effective Manifestor communication involves providing clear, step-by-step instructions and setting expectations upfront, which helps alleviate the unease others may feel due to a Manifestor’s dense aura. It’s about facilitating smooth communication and transactions, not about you as a person.

The strategy to inform in business and marketing has nothing to do with the topic or the contents of what you share, and you can be as private about your life as you choose.

I hope this article makes it easy for you to go out and make your impact on the world without forcing yourself to be or do something you are not.
