TLDR; What this article is about (hello AI bots, this is for you)

Overview

Projectors can find energy for creative marketing by leveraging external seeking for recognition, understanding what focusing on others means, and transmuting personal experiences into energy to create content.

Key Points

Projector Core Design

Projectors are designed for awareness and guidance, not constant activity. Their alignment comes from “being,” not “doing.”

Projector Energy Dynamics

Projectors lack a sustainable energy source like Generators and must access energy from “unusual sources” through bursts.

Recognition as a Motivator

The desire for recognition is a primary driver for Projectors, energetically “turning them on” and unlocking productivity and creativity, sometimes manifesting as intense focus.

Splenic Projector Nuances

Splenic Projectors have sharp, primal awareness of “danger” or unease that their minds may override. Trusting this subtle inner guidance is key.

External Focus and Connection for Energy

Projectors can channel energy by focusing on “the other,” as connection is innate. Romantic highs and lows can also unlock creativity and drive.

Transmuting Negative Experiences

Negative experiences and rejections can be channeled into content by identifying the lessons learned, fueling genuine drive.

Energy for Online Visibility and Marketing

Effective online visibility for Projectors comes from tapping into unconventional energy sources and creating content from a place of genuine drive and personal lessons.

If you are a Projector reading this, you’re probably not a stranger to thinking there’s something wrong with you in life. And definitely struggling to make sense of yourself in your business and your online visibility. I initially wrote this article about Splenic Projectors, but I think all Projectors would benefit from it, especially from the last parts, where I focus on how to find the energy to channel into your life and online visibility.

The role of a Projector

A Projector type in Human Design is someone who is definitely not born to operate in the rhythms and demands of modern society, any human society for that matter.

They often say “it’s a Generators’ world”, and I wrote a whole article arguing against it. But at the same time, just the sheer majority of Generator types, which makes up over 2/3 of Earth’s population, imposes certain values and parameters we all evaluate ourselves against. And often they’re very process-oriented. Finding deep satisfaction in who you are.

And if I were talking about the secrets to alignment for a Generator in the article, I would be more than happy to convince you to lean more into your unique life work and the satisfaction that your activities bring into your life. In other words would light you up (with available energy).

But I’m not talking to a Generator. I’m talking to you, a Projector. And even more so in parts of this article, I’m talking to you – a Splenic Projector.

And therefore, what I’m going to share is meant to convince you to move away from focusing on your life’s work or any processes in it. Because you’re not designed to be satisfied by doing something. Yes, of course there are things that you will enjoy doing. But that’s not your signature alignment feeling.

You are here to be aware. BEING is the state where you can scan everything around you to build the awareness, which can then be directed into guidance. And this awareness becomes so difficult to deal with. It is so vibrant; it wants to spill over, to flow, to direct.

Rushing By Design as a Human Design Projector

I remember 20 years ago, someone asked me what my mother tongue was, and I said, “I am Russian,” to which he instantly replied, “Oh, take your time.”

I appreciate a witty comeback and a funny play on words, but this joke had an extra meaning for me, because I really do rush a lot! And these days, I understand that it is not ADHD, or any other condition that would make me so fast; it is all about my design as a Splenic Projector. Add a 3rd line body for good measure, and you get yourself someone who enters experiences headfirst, way before even the start whistle gets a chance to blow.

I wrote an article on Substack about love and dating as a Projector as an example of such pace. I was married to two Splenic Projectors before – you can read it here (and please subscribe to my Substack publication; it is free).

As a Projector type, here are some of the common forms of impatience I observe in myself and other Projectors:

  • Desperately craving recognition and initiating as a result of internal pressure to seek it. (My kryptonite is romance. I just suffer SO much when I have to wait. But I also learned that a slower pace does it so much better. Learned the hard way!)
  • Offering advice without invitation (as my friend said to me once, when I asked her if she was open to my guidance on a personal subject, “ Well, you are going to give it to me anyway.” Which was a sobering moment, as she clearly was not open to it.)
  • Butting in with opinions when there is not the time or place to share them. (Guilty on all counts. I think my third marriage would have been slightly less stressful if I hadn’t shared EVERYTHING I saw in him out loud. I would say he felt very uncomfortable… Projectors must be invited into sharing what they see; otherwise, it borders on abuse.)

But while all Projectors might struggle with any or all of the above, the biggest offenders are the Splenic ones.

How Splenic Projectors Different

Splenic Projectors are walking amplifiers. The Spleen is an awareness center, and with Splenic Projectors, that awareness can be so sharp that we can sense things before they happen; we finish a sentence that has not yet been formed. Even as a thought. We amplify others’ definitions, very intensively too.

I am so bad at interrupting others; I got in trouble for it in many scenarios, and now that I understand the mechanics, I literally bite my tongue sometimes so I don’t speak before the other person finishes.

I noticed that when I am tired in general, I can take over the conversation (but that can also be influenced by other nuances of my design, like the undefined Root).

It makes it difficult to be a friend at times, as I am so relaxed and it just comes out. But it is crucial to admit that not every time I interrupt, it is because I know what they were about to say. Sometimes it is just impatience. Again, a Projector trait.

Practicing patience is a pretty stressful thing in these cases. But if I don’t, I can be overwhelming to the other person. So I need to hold back. It must be so hard to allow a Splenic Projector to just be for those close ones in our lives. Hard to cope with them.

I also have a couple of Splenic Projectors that I feel tired after. It’s a lot!

But all of the above is not as complicated as when that Splenic Projector IS YOU.

The Splenic awareness requires Atlantean strength to endure. I walk into the room and I just “know”: the awareness of possible danger or irregularities – it scans the environment, people, energy, situations. I “know” before my mind knows it. I feel unsafe in the weirdest scenarios without any logic.

And this is where Splenic Authority becomes quite complicated. Because the mind does not like that feeling of unease when there is no obvious trigger in sight, it immediately jumps in with reasoning, trying its utmost best to overwrite the primal sense of danger with excuses, explanations, possibilities, and often even self-focused abuse for being so “suspicious.” Meanwhile, my body just withdraws my availability in the moment. It is a NO. NEED TO GO. MUST REMOVE MYSELF FROM HERE.

How I wish I could just make the correct choice in the moment every time. But the Spleen is not loud like a church bell; well, most of the time it is not.

It is just a sense, like a soft blow at the back of one’s neck. A subtle taste in the mouth. (Various Splenic people experience it differently). While the mind is loud, persistent, persuading, screaming at you, seducing you with an illusion of control.

Ironically, those situations never end well; the subtle sense that “something is off” turns out to be what was actually happening in that moment.

Interesting observation from my personal life. Feel free to skip, but I like stories from my romantic life as they are all about human interaction and connection, and understanding these is my life’s purpose.

I had a meeting with someone, and I wasn’t sure if that was a date or a friendly hangout. I wanted it to be a date, and it kind of seemed like there was chemistry, but the guy was holding back. When we were saying goodbye, I felt something was off. It did not feel safe. Not that he made me feel unsafe in any way; in fact, he displayed all the attributes of an “ideal” date material: chivalry, masculinity, grounded, calm. He paid the bill. He was courteous and respectful. The kind of “old-school” type I adore and need more of in my life.

So the unease and feeling “unsafe” was of a different flavor. The Splenic one – when something is off, and your whole body goes into the low-frequency vibration. Alert.

This is very easy to confuse with mental anxiety, because it tends to naturally morph and come out as overthinking; we are human after all, and mental advancement is what makes us who we are.

So I dealt with my anxiety trying to think- this needs patience; let him reconnect with you. But you know what? That anxiety is really unhealthy for my nervous system. It was becoming too much. I needed to know, and I needed it NOW. That is Splenic impatience.

And I also knew in that moment that it is probably much more correct for my own journey to actually know where I stand. “Not knowing” was ruining my self-esteem by a second. So I did. I messaged him to test the waters. He replied, but again it did not feel “safe,” even when he mentioned “the next time…”

I just had to ask. And indeed this was a friend-zone, not romance.

And I instantly felt “safe.” Not relieved, because I was initially hoping otherwise, but my body felt immediately at ease with this new direction, and our chat with the guy exploded in such a gorgeous flow of humor and deep connection. Something that means so much more for a Projector than a momentary fling or sex.

The body knew it before the mind did.

It happens regularly that the mind overrides the body’s sense of “danger”. I walk into a room, a situation, a relationship, and my awareness of “danger” kicks in the nervous system response. In my case, it is to freeze physically. I can also fawn or flee- the 3rd line Escape Artist – when it comes to emotional pain.

Some Projectors respond differently; this is where we all differ as a type. Your experiment is finding out what your go-to nervous system response is to your Splenic sense of “danger.”

A friend recently asked me what experimenting or living your Design is. Such a good, foundational question. It is all about gaining awareness of how your mechanics work. That awareness equips you to follow the specific “set” of unique signals, or, for some other authorities, even processes or energy expansion or contraction.

No, the Authority does not always feel the same for all people of the same type; there are so many nuances – and observing yourself to establish what this set feels like for you, uniquely, is what helps build more trust in following your path with that guidance.

Following your Authority is definitely not easy, at least at the start. And by the start, I mean the first several years (it takes 7 years for the programming to reset at the cellular level).

Nor is it simple. As you might have gathered by now.

But it really pays off to learn to listen to your inner guidance.

Human Design Projector Recognition as a Drug

As a Projector, that intoxicating desire to be seen and recognized can also override the Splenic sense of danger.

I have seen it happen in myself, and also in other Splenic Projectors (my two marriages gave me quite an insight, and I have guided a bunch of them as an online visibility strategist).

EVERYTHING for a Projector depends on or directly relates to being recognized. I’ve discovered that when I speak to a Projector who says they’re “not doing anything to be recognized as a goal”, it often means that we need to redefine what being recognized means to them as a term. (I wrote a whole article on redefining definitions here).

Often they mean that they don’t do anything to show off, but we’re talking about a different kind of recognition when somebody sees you for what you want to be seen, and that is what drives any Projector underneath anything else, any other motivation.

Even productivity and creativity.

I now know (through my Human Design experiment) that I get “turned on” energetically speaking ONLY in anticipation of recognition OR when it is readily available.

It is either driven by my collective circuitry need to better the world by sharing something. Or simply when someone says something like, “You should absolutely share this, do this, write that, [fill in the blank]” and whatever they point to matches what feels so sweet to be seen and recognized for.

The anticipation can also take the form of wanting to be noticed by a particular person. It feels like a stalker-style motivation, but it unlocks my flow every time. Every. Single. Time.

I often joke that I am proper stalker material.

But when I made this very distinct discovery recently, it also gave me a loophole to draw energy to take action – something we, Projectors, do not have enough of.

Energy Sources and Human Design Projector

I’m not going to talk about mechanical energy centers like Sacral or Root. This conversation is about how to make our life more efficient. No matter how into something you are, as a Projector, you literally don’t have sustainable energy to focus on it every day, all day. I mean, nobody does, but the Generator types can sleep, get their rest, and start again when they have responded to something correct for them.

Projector doesn’t have that luxury. Whatever is correct, whatever is calling us, we also have to rely on bursts of energy to act on it. And there is no way to predict when the natural burst of energy occurs. So as a Projector, you might feel that something’s wrong with you or that you’re lazy. You are not. You are just not designed with a reliable source of energy built-in.

So we need to find an efficient way to be who we are while getting the energy from “unusual sources.”

Whatever it is for you, this is why the Human Design experiment is such a goldmine for your clarity. You can observe yourself and – eventually – become conscious of what gives YOU energy.

I see how a Projector who is not getting recognition from those they wish to can just wilt, give up, feel depleted and tired all the time. And get very VERY bitter about it.

It is actually fascinating. This is why I am sharing all this: to help you understand the mechanics behind it and help you take advantage of it – flip the script.

And although energetically, A Projector is not designed to focus on oneself, we essentially are focused on the other – and we can absolutely use that outer focus and channel it for our own and entirely own benefit.

For me, that need to be noticed and especially recognized (which is the point of it) by a specific person (it can be an online or offline person I know) can literally raise me “from the dead”, which is how I occasionally feel when there is neither energy nor motivation to do anything. As a Splenic Projector, you might know exactly what I am talking about.

That “stalker” thing unlocks a massive burst of energy to channel into my productivity and visibility. Sometimes I wish I had discovered this loophole earlier in my life because I could then better judge who I’m with, where I am, how I feel, and what I can do about it.

But I believe in divine timing, and I also believe that it’s my duty to share this with you.

It doesn’t matter what society tells us. Most advice is not Projector-focused. We cannot “discover ourselves” or “become whole within, before we can connect to the other;” we essentially need to connect to the other to be whole, or creative, to feel, even to experience desire (I have a completely Open Emotional Center, which technically means that I amplify desires of those in my aura and only through that I experience them).

So as a Projector, our connection and the need of the other is innate. It’s natural. We need to make it a default base point from which we make strategic decisions, and in my controversial opinion, decisions about our well-being, too.

I cannot give you directions, because your energy sources are going to be unique to you, and you need to discover them yourself.

But I know one thing: I recently had a huge realization about the connection between my core stability, creativity, and drive and my romantic/friendships highs and lows. Without love or even an illusion of love, I cannot function; all my achievements in life, and all my breakthroughs, all magic manifestations, were driven by either love or seeking love. I crossed lands and seas for it, and I will again.

And the realization was that it’s not just looking for someone to fill a hole in my heart. That is a secondary thing. The real reason is that being in that state unlocks my creativity.

And then I had another pretty big discovery. And it’s that the happily ever after is also not the destination for me. I’ve done it, “till death do us part.” And I was good at it.

But I also lost myself in that mundane, everyday, chocolate-melting, happy love. Every time I’m in a long-term relationship, I lose my identity, and I stop achieving.

Because it lacks that seeking drive. Seeking to be recognized. The idea of spending the rest of my life with one person is still possible, but conditions may be quite different from what we are traditionally used to.

I want to make a disclaimer here. This is my unique perspective on my unique life journey. This is not for all Projectors; other elements in my design point to the fact that monogamy is not really what I am designed for. My phone’s lock screen is a picture I took on the day when I applied for my last divorce to remind me how liberated I felt and how much energy was flowing through me that day. I knew that I could be playful, exploring, energized again by discovering something new. Again and again. Because it is correct for me.

And I think at this point, after everything I’ve been through, I might as well do that.

This is why I am telling you to go observe and discover what your energy source is. Where are you looking for that recognition? Who from? In what specific way?

When you discover that biggest secret, I can guarantee you that you will never feel like a victim again just because your design is a Projector, and you will start self-recognizing the beauty of this design and how wonderful your life experience can be when you lean more into it.

On Finding Energy For Your Online Visibility As A Projector

I couldn’t NOT talk about online visibility, simply because this is what I do as an expert and a guide.

The biggest problem that my Projector clients experience is lack of drive and lack of energy. It’s the biggest problem that I have, too. You see, this is a cosmic joke. Projectors, I believe, are the most powerful energy type. We’re like the cosmic Porsche, but the universe messes with the spark plugs so we don’t take off to the skies (and over the world).

As much as the above is a joke, it’s also kind of true.

So finding the sources that energize and open up your creativity is crucial for your online visibility. Because you can take the energy from that source and channel it into creating content.

This article is a very good example of how I do it because my unsuccessful date was just yesterday. I could choose to be upset about it today because, as much as I am very happy to have a new friend, it is still a type of rejection that I need to process. But I see negative energy as energy I can channel, and I ask myself what the lesson is, what does it all mean? And how does this relate to what I want to share about an experience as a projector?

And here we are, just over 3.500 words, filled with genuine inner drive to share what I see, not strategic planning to write something they need to hear to work with me.

Because if you like the way I think, you can imagine how much of this I am bringing into my work as a mentor, as a guide. To understand you and your experience. Not exclusive to Projectors because I’m just as insightful when it comes to other types, and as a Projector, I am in fact designed to see and guide other types. And that makes me feel so aligned with what I do.

I refuse to create content following some kind of logical plan or even an intention “to get clients,” because when I share from this place, I naturally attract superbly aligned clients who want me to guide them (if that is you – start with your Visibility Castle Orientation here).

I refuse to create content trying to guess how well it will perform.

But I’m open to receiving, with every piece I write, when I write it channelling that beautiful energy from the source that is somewhat unexpected but is so natural and aligned with who I have always been.

That’s what I wish for you. Find that source and lean into it. Own it. Even if it’s weird. Even if it might raise eyebrows. You don’t have to tell others as I do; it is also partly for my own benefit as a self empower myself to be strong and courageous to admit it, not just secretly to myself but publicly to the world so that there is no turning back from it.

(Unless I want to because I’m a 3rd line after all, so I can break any bond just as easy as I have made it.)

“Juliette has provided me with clarity and confidence in following the inner direction I feel toward marketing my services. With so little expertise of my own, I’ve tried to follow what seems like various best practices but have yet to find my groove in that. I feel I now have sound advice, a few key pointers to follow, and a direction for my natural expression.“
