Launching your offer can be terrifying. And it is not only about the fear of not making any money. Even if successful financially, a launch can leave you overwhelmed and burnt out.

If you are a coach or an expert who keeps their business streamlined to solopreneurship, this can leave a very unpleasant and lingering “aftertaste,” making you want to postpone the next time you need to promote an offer.

And who can blame you?

That twenty-four-seven roller-coaster of emotions that affects your mental and often physical well-being is tough. The trauma of an array of fears and insecurities persistently dominating your mind is deep.

We live in a world where attaching your worth to numeric values is commonly accepted. But is it really true? Are your self-worth and the value you bring to everyone in your world really determined by the number of clients you enrolled or the amount in your bank account at the end of the launch?

Personally, I used to feel so depleted and stressed even after super successful launches. I simply couldn’t find any joy to celebrate my successes. Instead, I used to feel a sense of temporary relief, you know, the kind of a protagonist feels in a horror movie when they escape the villain. Still, we know there is more ahead because it has only been forty-five minutes and the film is two hours long…

And I wish I could now say, “Everything changed when I discovered…”. But it would be a lie. However, I can use the words of an Artist Previously Known as Prince to tell you… There’s something else!

Where I found real support that helped me navigate the emotional storms during my launches was slightly unexpected but very powerful. I have been experimenting with Human Design for several years. In the last year, I have been using it as a tool as a Visibility Strategist.

Not only does it help us determine how we can show up as a Brand online in complete authenticity and find safety and ease. Not only does it serve as a compass determining what marketing strategies and tactics are correct for us, what areas of digital marketing are the most aligned for us. Not only does it point to the right answer if building a community can work for our personality, or we are better off embracing the “lone wolf ‘positioning and focusing on publicity instead.

Human Design helps survive launches. It can highlight specific triggers and fears we have around money, self-worth, direction, and rejection and reframe them in an empowering way.

The idea behind Human Design is simple. We are imprinted with a certain definition at birth that gives us access to consistent energies we broadcast in the world and allows us to sample the energies of others.

When we master the awareness of our energetics and how we interact with others in our world, we can recalibrate our decision-making, our body wisdom, and the energetic influences in a way that helps us achieve more joy, peace, satisfaction, or success (whatever the “signature” feeling indicates our alignment.)

With launches, if we do not have a consistent definition (or we are defined but not in alignment with) in areas responsible for setting and achieving targets, knowing when enough is enough, self-value and self-worth, emotional expression, clarity on our ideas and inspirations – this is when we enter that horror movie scenario during the launch.

Being able to recognize the non-self themes and reframe them in an empowering way is what Human Design is key to aligned marketing.

For example, you may be feeling like you have to be keeping up with everyone else, have a massive launch like that coach you follow, create these super-sharp graphics, and write dozens of promotional posts and emails. You feel like you cannot relax until you finish all on your list. But it all could be because an undefined or Open Root center in your Human Design is putting this pressure on you.

Instead, you could lean back into knowing that it is OK to slow down and stop working and seeing that relaxing is part of what you indeed require, even more during a launch. You can show others that it is OK to be relaxed and not push against their limits. You can rest, and you can still make money.

It is all about self-empowerment and letting go of the pressure to compete, to make your emotional experiences determined by money, and seeing it for what it is – just money.

And you will make what you want and probably more if you have a great, empowered, abundant mindset around it – particularly during the launches.

What this brings into my life is priceless. I am finally feeling that I can overcome the culture of hustle and grind, the “pressure to sell,” and lean into the joy of receiving as I am focusing on the energy of giving, not getting, and being re-given right back.

Finally, this lets me celebrate when my launches are finished and find inspiration to create new products and offers. I can now notice little things that before got drowned in the fears and emotional mess that I endured for weeks at a time. Looking into my Human Design and the areas where I am misaligned with my gifts and strengths did that for me (and this is what I am helping my clients with nowadays).

Is it possible for you too? Undoubtedly so. But you have to be prepared to let go of the firm grip on your current beliefs about money, what it takes to make it, and how much you deserve it.

Spoiler alert – you may even fall in love with launches when you do!

Why does it feels so heavy?

Running a business, constantly looking for clients, staying visible, and launching often comes with a feeling of not being enough. Feeling inadequate. The fact that our social media newsfeeds are full of super polished and seemingly super successful competitors does not help. I bet you found yourself comparing to the claims of yet another coach you see on Facebook at least once!

“How come I cannot reach that [insert amount]K month mark- it seems so easy to other coaches!
I must not be good enough…
…not charismatic enough…
…maybe I still do not know enough, and they feel it… (people with line 1 in their profile will relate to this one)
…I am not productive enough…
…I am not organized enough…
…I am not young/skinny/photogenic enough…

But here is the thing… NONE OF THESE STATEMENTS ARE THE TRUTH.

Entrepreneurship is hard, but it is incredibly empowering and a life-changing experience as well. Communicating your value, educating, and selling your offers on social media is tough, AND building a connection and sharing your expertise is essential.

It only looks easy, and yes, of course, there is the whole art of speaking in an engaging way, addressing your pain points directly, and making it sound like the solution is only one investment away… That is marketing and let’s not get bitter about it because it is just how this whole thing works.

There is, of course, a way to do all of this authentically, and this is where Human Design comes in so handy as a compass-like tool to rely on. Click here to check out my Marketing Blueprint By Design™ offer.

But back to feeling inadequate in your business. The worst time that triggers the deepest insecurities is always the launch times. And if you have never felt stressed, worried, overwhelmed and deeply insecure, and sacred during your launches, you are definitely a rare find.

Where you’re undefined in your chart is typically where you’re going to feel this not-enoughness amplified, especially during a launch. But even if you’re defined, you can still fall into a non-self theme.

Human Design Deconditining Practice During Launches

Here are some simple daily affirmations you could use to get yourself grounded and centered every day as you prepare for and throughout your launch. I recommend journalling around one that stands out the most each time your journal and do it daily as your launch is approaching.

Head Center – searching for proof and the answers.

There is a sense of fear and pressure when you do not know the answer.

Let’s “flip the script”:

I can allow to draw inspiration in my sales processes and by my launches and their impact instead of allowing it to be a source of stress and anxiety.

Ajna – searching for certainty in outcomes.

The pressure to have an opinion is heightened by the fear of not having one or being challenged in having one.

Let’s “flip the script”:

I release the need to convince people during my launch and use my beliefs and opinions to guide the right clients to me.

Throat – searching for attention and recognition.

Feeling not being “heard”. A fear of not being seen, heard, or noticed by others; a pressure to draw attention to yourself.

Let’s “flip the script”

My offer speaks for itself as I lean into my natural magnetism. I am supported through referrals and testimonials of those who know my value. By expressing what I feel passionately about I speak out when the timing is correct and release the need to “be heard”. The right people will recognise my value when I focus on the quality of what I am saying.

G Centre – searching for direction and purpose.

Being afraid of never finding out who you are or where you are going; feeling pressure to always know who you are.

Let’s “flip the script”:

The outcome of my launch is in no way connected to my lovability as a person. I release the need to allow this launch to define me and my worth.

Will Centre – searching for worthiness and needing to prove or improve yourself.

You’re constantly under pressure to prove that you’re enough; you’re scared you’ll never be good enough.

Let’s “flip the script”:

By releasing my need to prove myself or micromanage my launch, I am free to focus on growing and improving. It does not define if I am worthy – it is only an activity to get clients at this moment. I allow it to be imperfect. I allow it to flow. I let go of “getting” clients, and I focus on “receiving” abundance. No matter the outcome, this does not define if I am worthy of prosperity.

Solar Plexus – searching for a way to avoid confrontation and truth.

You’re afraid of upsetting someone; you want to keep the peace.

Let’s “flip the script”:

Client attraction can be a fulfilling experience during which I can experience and process my emotions. It can be fun, and it is ok to have emotional waves during this process.

Sacral Centre – searching for a way to get more done.

There is a sense of a lack of action; pressure to DO even more and more.

Let’s “flip the script”:

There is no direct correlation between doing more and receiving more. In my sales activities, I am most valuable for my authenticity and mindset.

Splenic Centre – holding onto what is no longer serving you.

Holding on too tightly and refusing to let go of fear of change.

Let’s “flip the script”:

Even though I feel fear and resistance, I do the hard things anyway. As I release my fears and negative thought patterns, I will be able to move forward.

Root Centre – searching for a way to feel free of the pressure.

Stress about not finishing everything; fear you won’t be able to finish it all.

Let’s “flip the script”:

In the lead-up to my launch, my productivity is not dependent on how much work I put in and how much stress I am under. When I am feeling stressed or pressured in my body, I allow myself to rest and do what I love.

These are just some suggestions, but trust me when you start working on reframing your thoughts, your energy follows and you get to actually allow yourself to be in the flow and not resist whatever is coming up – and it will! A few helpful resources are:
